Find the Right ICT Talent
for Your Business

Market rates in the Netherlands run roughly 75 to 95 euro per hour for a mid-level developer, 95 to 125 euro for a senior software engineer, and 125 to 160 euro or more for a lead developer or solution architect, all excluding VAT. The rate moves with scarcity in a particular stack rather than with the calendar alone.

It depends on how scarce the requested stack is and how sharply the assignment is defined. Work expressed as measurable deliverables is faster to match than an open-ended hours arrangement. Send the assignment to info@freelancesoftware.nl and you will get a realistic timeframe for your situation rather than a standard promise.

The Dutch tax authority assesses a working relationship on three tests: a relationship of authority, whether the work must be performed personally, and embedding in the organisation. A model agreement is not a waiver — the actual working practice has to match the contract. FreelanceSoftware.nl therefore works with outcome-based assignments and flags arrangements where a contractor would in practice be managed as permanent staff.

FreelanceSoftware.nl is based at Weesperstraat 61 in Amsterdam and places professionals throughout the Netherlands, including the Randstad and Brainport Eindhoven. Remote work is normal, and where an assignment needs on-site presence that is agreed up front.
